“Without me, they can do nothing.” Jn. 15:1-8

How many times would Jesus see the branches of the vines, broken by the wind or by the action of the vinedresser. It occurs to Jesus then to compare himself with that strong trunk that supports the branches and carries the sap so that they live and produce fruit. Then He presents the Father God, as the careful, attentive vinedresser, so that his vineyard produces the best, and for this He must prune the fruitless branches, which rob his vine of strength. Jesus again invites us to remain in deep unity with him. The life of a disciple who leaves his legacy is a life strongly rooted in Jesus, by the knowledge of his Person, by love, by identification with his feelings, by prayer. What are those things that hinder our relationship with God and that take away our strength to bear the fruits He expects?
