GERM OF PEACE FOUNDATION – MEDELLÍN AND BARRANQUILLA

It is a foundation that seeks to strengthen human quality and awareness of personal and community value, through a daily task in favor of the changes that the environment requires to enrich personal life and the country.

Activities such as psychological counseling, personal and community training are carried out for children, young people and mothers affected by political and intra-family violence, in order for them to promote the construction of new forms of coexistence, based on social and democratic participation.

It intends that the communities exposed to precariousness in many aspects and to the armed conflict, discover the value of themselves, and their meaning in the life of Colombia; the value of their land, and the opportunity to undertake alternatives to build with others a reliable and safe place.

In Barranquilla: In the displaced neighborhoods: Candelaria and Pinar del Rio

In Antioquia: In: Alejandría, Barbosa, Concepción, Marinilla, Cocorná (La Piñuela), Rionegro and San Luis. Most of the participants are from sidewalks

The Germen de Paz Foundation is projected for 2020 as:

An institution recognized in the environment for the solidity of its proposals for intervention and education, for the generation of new opportunities for reconciliation and peace in the citizen environment.

As an entity that intends for children, young people and mothers to assume a constructive position with themselves and with the environment so that they generate attitudes and actions for the gestation of a dynamic committed to the generation of a real democracy.

A practice that results in young leaders or peace agents, motivated and articulated in community processes.

As an entity that enables the transfer of knowledge and tools that generate productive employment and a rewarding life.

As an organization rigorously and seriously involved in the peace process that promotes a more equitable and egalitarian society in the gender relationship, in opportunities and in coexistence.
