“The servant is none other than his master, nor is the messenger more than the one who sends him.” (Jn 13:16-20)

We close this month by returning to that moving scene: Jesus with the towel around his waist. He repeats it to us slowly so that we do not forget: pride and vanity are elements that disunite and destroy any family or community. When we believe ourselves to be more than the other, we break the peace. Jesus saves us from this pride by showing us that the purest happiness is in simple and permanent service, in coming down from our pedestals. Today, does the desire to always have the last word distance you from others? Feel how He dignifies you by teaching you to love from simplicity. Let us close April ready to accompany our brothers and sisters with tenderness.
