“I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst.” (Jn. 6:30-35)

We all carry within us emptiness, a thirst for love and meaning that nothing material can fill. Jesus offers himself to us as that tender, freshly baked Bread that fills our lives. Living close to Him gives us a serene satisfaction, a trust that allows us to walk lightly. Today, with what passing things are you trying to quench your thirst for happiness? The Lord gives himself only to nourish your heart. Let us ask Him for the grace to cultivate a moment of intimacy with Him every day. May those around us see in us the lovely peace of someone who knows that God lives within them.
