Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard (I Cor. 2:6-10)

In this passage St. Paul reminds us that we have been given the wisdom of God.  There is little explanation as to what this exactly entails, but it is a wisdom from the Holy Spirit given through the cross of Christ. Yet we are weak and often choose what is not befitting of one who has been granted this wisdom.  As the Corinthians needed to be reminded of the unfathomable gift Christ has given, we, too, are called to remember “what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him, this God has revealed to us through the Spirit.”
