“HAVE COURAGE. I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.” Jn. 16:29-33

The disciples have shared very intimately with Jesus; yet they have difficulty in understanding him, in believing and in transcending from their simple image of a man like themselves, to the image of the living God who reveals himself in the humanity of Jesus.

Today He invites us to remain united to him. In the midst of our doubts and difficulties, the Spirit of Jesus encourages us not to give up. Jesus is always with the Father and in the same way He will always be with us.

Therefore, we have an immense need to relate in a very close, very intimate way with Him, born of the profound encounter, which leads us to experience Him as the real Person that He is. In this way, we can say like the Samaritans to the woman at the well: “We no longer believe because of what you have told us, but because we have heard Him and we know that He is the Savior of the world.” (Jn. 4:42)
