“There will be joy in heaven over a converted sinner.” (Lk. 15:1-10).
Today’s two parables: that of the lost sheep and that of the lost coin, place us in front of the good God, the compassionate God, who is understanding of our frailties and creatively seeks to wait for us until we achieve our conversion. It is also Jesus’ invitation to imitate the attitude of God who seeks those who have fallen to be bridges of mercy, without judging or condemning, but helping the Spirit of God the Father to propitiate times of light that thus they will return to the path. There will be joy and gladness in heaven.
