Sell everything. Mt. 13:44-46
Today’s image of the Kingdom of God is a hidden treasure. Whoever finds it, joyfully goes and sells everything to buy the field where the treasure is located. Jesus is our great treasure, nothing compares to Him. Leaving everything for the ALL can only bring joy.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola had to travel many roads in search of it, and finally found it. It was not the triumph in battles, the honors, the idyllic loves, the exciting readings that allowed him to know Jesus, but they were part of the journey. It was a wound, the story of a saint, some companions who joined him, who brought him closer to God. And when Ignatius found Him, he left everything to know and love Him interiorly and forever.
May it be the experience of love, which enables us to “seek and find God everywhere” that moves us to sell everything.
