“Your faith has saved you.” Mt. 9:18-26
The mother who prays tirelessly, every night for her child, the young man who gets up early to work without any guarantee, the doctor who insists on curing his patient against any diagnosis, the teacher who reinvents herself every day to teach the child that learns differently, the religious who continues to serve and love without any applause. All of them are beings touched by God and clinging to a faith that allows them to believe that everything will be different.
Two of the encounters that Jesus has in today’s Gospel speak to us of that unbreakable faith, which makes possible the healing of two women; a hemorrhaging woman and a young woman. In the midst of the attitude of the Father who trusts fully in Jesus and a crowd that laughs at him, Jesus continues with his mission to restore life to those who have lost it.
Has our faith saved us?
