Friday, May 31: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (Lk. 1:46-47).

We come to the end of May and we decide, like Our Lady and with her, to glorify God with the joy, the hospitality, the service with which she travels through the mountains of Hebron to visit her cousin, who is also the bearer of the hope of Israel. Two women whose songs, whose joy are intertwined in praise. Mary, Mother of Jesus, Mother of the Church, our Mother, first disciple, model of every life of faith and the following of Jesus. It is time to slowly recite the Magnificat, to review it in our hearts in order to let ourselves be inspired by the joy of these two women who represent the two testaments, the Covenant of God with his people. The lives of these two sons, John the Baptist and Jesus, have been entrusted to two women who are the cause of our joy.
