The Promise Applies to Everyone
The Christian message is not intended for a closed group of friends or privileged cultures but must be proclaimed even – and above all – to those who are far away. It is the difference with the covenant made in the Old Testament, with the “chosen people.” Jesus rose not only to console friends for his painful absence, but above all, to offer the whole world, even if they are far away, a certain hope, beyond all human expectations.
Do you believe this?… is it still true for this convulsed and dehumanized world that we are living in? Bring those concerns into your prayer today.
Put yourself in the place of Mary Magdalene who weeps inconsolably… and listen to Jesus who says your name and with that you recognize Him alive, and He sends you to your brothers and sisters. To whom? With what message?
