Ordinary Time

“As she repeated her prayer to the Lord, Eli watched her. Hannah spoke internally; she moved her lips, but her voice was not heard” (1 Sam. 1:9-20).

In prayer, several processes are carried out that allow us to internalize the matter to be discerned: silence, listening and dialogue. Hannah constantly repeated her request to the Lord, the intensity was such that she no longer expressed it loudly, but the movement was inward. Hannah makes herself heard from God because she speaks with her heart in her hand; her words have been thought and meditated on for a long time within her; she makes herself heard because she is moved by a desire that, for God becomes a promise. Let us ask for the grace to know how to listen to the desires of our heart, let us present them to God in our prayer and He, who knows how to listen, will grant them to us if it is for our greatest good and that of others.
