Christmas Time

“The two disciples heard his words and followed Jesus” Jn. 1:35-42

The senses are the cracks through which God manifests Himself. If our senses are open, we can feel his presence and give way to action, because the manifestation of God within us moves us, surprises us. The disciples were attentive, surely, they were searching, so their sense of listening was alert. Such was the quality of the listening that was expressed in their response, that is, when they felt the call of Jesus, they immediately followed him. Let us ask the Lord for the gift of listening in order to act in accordance with his will.
