SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS
“Rejoice, your reward is great in heaven.” Mt. 5:1-12a
To celebrate the feast of All Saints is to ask ourselves how to be happy in the face of a world that has so many ephemeral and superfluous offers that leave nothing but empty and frustrated hearts. It is difficult to think about the project of holiness because it seems distant, only for a few people and where it is not worth looking. Jesus’ proposal in today’s Gospel is the challenging invitation for all to assume holiness as a path that is made in the relationship with the most fragile, in caring for them in order to pursue together the fulfillment of the dream of happiness. How do you live in happiness today when there are so many different possibilities from the consumerist world? We are invited to walk with a simple and transparent heart, with a hunger and thirst for justice, working for peace with the feelings of mercy.
