Lk. 11:27-28: “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and do it.”

The good news is that this beatitude is not exclusive because we can all be happy if we listen to and live the Word of God, it is a universal call to true happiness. It consists in the interior and obedient relationship from the Word of God.

Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is blessed, not only because she bore the Son of God in her womb, but because she believed and obeyed the Word, responding with her “let it be done to me according to your word”. She is the first disciple because she listens and lives according to God’s will.

True happiness is within the reach of each one of us; to listen to the Word of God, to let it transform us, and to put it into practice in our daily decisions, in our relationships and in performing fulfilling our responsibilities.
