“We know that all things work for good to those who love God.” Rom. 8:28-30

Today in the Church we celebrate a very special day, the Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lady. As the Company of Mary, the celebration of the Child Mary gives us our identity because it is a celebration that helps us remember by whom we are accompanied as we walk through our lives. Today, with grateful hearts, let us turn our eyes to that girl of Nazareth who, loving God, knew how to give herself without reserve and to prepare herself for the mission that He entrusted to her. Let us ask her to help us to know how to give ourselves with generosity and integrity to the mission that He entrusts to us. As we commemorate the birth of the Child Mary today, may we be filled with hope, joy, and tenderness. And may we maintain these feelings and attitudes throughout our days.
