“Be quiet and get out of this man!” Lk. 4:31-37

Jesus goes down to Capernaum and teaches with authority, an authority that frees and heals those who are oppressed by evil. His words are not empty but have the power to transform reality and expel everything that dehumanizes us. In our daily lives, we sometimes allow ourselves to be influenced by noises, fears or attitudes that distance us from God’s plan. What “spirits” of selfishness or despair do we need him to expel from our hearts? Are we voices that liberate and give peace to others? May his word free us from within, let us ask the Lord to help us discover how to live in harmony and with greater authenticity.
