“The harvest is plentiful.” Matthew 9:32-38.

Today’s passage is a call from the Lord to collaborate with him in the proclamation of the Good News, for the least and excluded. To follow Jesus in the mission is to “be moved”, to feel compassion, pain in our hearts for so many mistreated and dejected by injustices because of senseless wars; that leave only desolation, orphanhood, illness and loneliness. What is our task when we see “so many sheep without a shepherd”, who cry out for healing accompaniment and to lift them from so many pains? Let us pray for these realities, so that there may be more people called to the vocation of love and self-giving among the most fragile.
