“My Lord and my God!” John 20:24-29
Thomas, Apostle.
Jesus’ encounter with Thomas and with the paralyzing fear of the disciples, leads them to close the door and not recognize the risen Jesus and enjoy his peace. This is often the case with our faith, paralyzing, leading us to defeat and conformism. For this reason, a faith, the product of the presence of the Spirit and of a prayer entrusted to the Lord, not only opens the door, but also uproots our fears and places us on the road to communicate the Good News of joy and peace, which is the gift of the Risen One.
The synodal Church opens its doors to all without exclusion and without fear of prejudiced morals. It leaves no one out, especially the most vulnerable; where the Spirit of the Risen One raises up and walks with all. What experience do we have of the risen Jesus?
