“Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what is that for so many?” (Jn. 6:1-15)
In front of a hungry crowd, the easiest thing to do was to cross your arms. But a simple boy takes everything he has out of his backpack. Jesus takes it in his hands, gives thanks, and the miracle of solidarity satisfies everyone. God does not ask you to solve the world’s problems by yourself; He only asks you to offer your “five loaves” generously. Today, does the fear of “not having enough” prevent you from sharing? Feel how He blesses your acts of kindness. Ask yourself: what is that talent, time or affection that I can share today to make someone else’s life happier?
