“My Lord and my God… Blessed are those who believe without having seen.” (Jn. 20:19-31)

Thomas is full of doubts, and besides, he had isolated himself from the group. When Jesus returns, He does not rebuke Thomas; on the contrary, He offers his wounds with a compassion that dissipates any resistance. God’s mercy is that tender embrace that gives us refuge when we are scared to death or don’t understand anything. Today, when crises come, do you tend to close yourself off and distance yourself from those who love you? Feel the immense patience of Jesus, who embraces your insecurities. Ask yourself: how can I approach the wounds of others today without judging them, being a space of welcome and mercy for them?
