“He who dipped his hand in the dish with me, He will betray me.” (Mt. 26:14-25)
On this Holy Wednesday, the Gospel sits us at the table in the face of betrayal. Judas breaks trust, that invisible thread that sustains any family or community. But look at Jesus: He does not respond with bitterness or violence. He chooses to keep his peace and love us to the end, reminding us that forgiveness is the only way to regain harmony. Let’s look at our hearts today: what small selfishness or resentments are cooling the relationship with those we love? Feeling that the embrace of the Merciful God is greater than our limits, let us ask Him for light: Lord, how can I mend today the bonds that have been broken in my home, in my community, or in my work?
