“Look at your king, who comes to you, humble, riding on a donkey.” Mt. 21:1-11.Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem marks a turning point: the King arrives, but not as many expected. He enters riding a donkey, a sign of humility and peace. Jesus reigns from meekness, not from strength. The crowd cheers, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”. They recognize in Jesus the Messiah, but their enthusiasm is fragile. They welcome him with branches, but few understand the path he proposes. Jesus continues to enter our lives today in a simple way. True acceptance is not only in words or external gestures, but in the willingness to follow Him on the path of self-giving love. Do we cheer him only with garlands, or do we let him really reign in our lives?
