Sin against the Holy Spirit. Mk. 3:22-30
The conflicts between Jesus and the religion presented in Mark’s gospel soon spread in Judea, especially in Jerusalem, where the religious authorities lived. Alarmed, some lawyers go to find out what is happening with this new prophet who arouses so much attraction in the town. They are not capable of questioning what He does and says; The fact that He has so many followers may make them insecure and jealous. Instead of opening up, they accuse him with absurd arguments, claiming that Satan is against himself, but Jesus unmasks them. Let us ask ourselves today if we are capable of questioning ourselves when someone’s testimony makes us uncomfortable, but unmasks our erroneous and selfish positions. Do we know how to distinguish the voice of the Spirit?
