“The child to be born will be called Holy and Son of God.” Luke 1:26-38

Let us dwell on Mary’s solitude during her encounter with the Angel at the Annunciation; in that unique moment in which the mystery of God touches her life and transforms it forever. Following the invitation of Saint Ignatius, let us contemplate with our senses; the silence of the place, the surprise of the greeting, the peace that accompanies the words of the messenger. Let us stay in what moves us and allow that moment to become a personal encounter with God who calls, anticipates and creates closeness. How do we enjoy God’s saving action in our lives today, here and now? In what way do we share with those around us the emotions and experiences that arise from our encounter with the Lord?
