“Prepare the way of the Lord, make a straight path for him.” Matthew 3, 1-12
John’s call to conversion is an invitation to renew hope, that essential and constant attitude of the believer. Returning to God is a decision that little by little transforms our responses to life, changes our way of seeing ourselves, understanding others and acting in the world. Conversion and hope walk together because they are not just personal or idealized feelings, but concrete gestures that are lived in community and that are renewed with joy and strength. Do we live our baptism as a joyful and constant conversion? How do we participate in building hope in our family and community?
