“Commemoration of the faithful departed” Mt. 33-39-16,1-6

It is not easy to think of death in a society filled with pain and inner emptiness because of so much violence. How can we see death with meaning, as a passage to the encounter and celebration of fulfilment with the God of life. How can we be hopeful in the face of this reality? As we remember our loved ones with a grateful heart for so much life given in gratuitousness, a strong call arises to be heralds of the risen hope and to denounce every act of violence which takes life through acts of injustice. Today it is urgent to incarnate the resurrected light that inserts itself in the midst of darkness. “Do not be afraid, you are seeking Jesus crucified; He is not here, He is risen.”
