Mt. 11:25-30: “Learn from me”
True wisdom does not depend on accumulating knowledge, but on opening one’s heart to God, with humility. It is the simple, those who know how to welcome, trust and let themselves be guided, who let the Kingdom of God flourish in their lives. The Kingdom of God does not oppress, but liberates, because it is love and mercy. To learn from him Who is “meek and humble of heart” means to welcome life with simplicity, trust, and meekness. Only a simple heart can recognize God’s action. What does this challenge: “learn from me” invite us to do in the current circumstances?
In the face of selfishness, meticulousness, or empty religiosity, He offers us a true rest that springs from love.
