Lk. 12:1-7: “Do not be afraid.”

Jesus invites us to be transparent, both in the words we express and in our witness of life.  The truth always comes to light, and God sees the secrets of the heart. We cannot live with duplicity or appearances because He knows everything we are and this should not frighten us, but it should liberate us. God loves us in our deepest reality, not because of the masks we may wear.

If God takes care of the little birds and counts even the hairs we have, how much more will He not take care of us, who are His children. This is the root of Christian trust; we are in the hands of a Father who knows us and loves us deeply. He protects every person with infinite love, especially the smallest and most vulnerable. So who and what will we fear?
