“The Lord is good to all.” Ps. 144

Today’s psalm invites us to praise God who is good and loving to all his creatures. We are also his creatures, for this reason He is also good and affectionate to us. The Gospel tells us about the moment when Jesus chooses his apostles. He has also chosen us and called us by name to follow him, and He has done so out of pure gratuitousness, because He has wanted to. Jesus calls us and we, by his grace, can respond to him in the same way that He does, from gratuitousness and the certainty that God, who is good to all, accompanies us on this journey. Let us become aware, especially on this day, of the love He has for us.
