“Who shall know thy designs, unless thou wilt give him wisdom, and send him thy holy spirit…? Wisdom 9, 13-18

Today’s first reading speaks to us of the wisdom that comes from God to know what pleases Him, what His will is in our lives; to become aware of the end for which he has created us. We can say that this reading is complemented by the Gospel that the liturgy proposes to us today; the passage in which Jesus reminds us to carry our own cross and follow Him. Let us ask him today in prayer to send us his Spirit so that we will know how to follow him and recognize what his plan is for us. Let us realize what is the invitation He wants to make to us today and pray that we may not be an impediment, but that we will let him act in our daily lives.
