BUILD ON THE ROCK.  Mt 7:21-29

Today’s Word leads us to look at the extent to which we seek to give real and living answers to God’s will in the events of our daily lives, which is manifested in his Word, in the dehumanizing situations that we contemplate daily. That is where I have to give my answer. It is not acts of piety that are sometimes far from commitment that move the Lord. The Father’s Will is that we follow his Son, on the path of love, a love that builds proposals and actions that elevate the dignity of so many of his children. The response to God’s will, from the loving hand of Jesus, is the firm foundation that we lay for life, it is to build on the rock, as today’s Gospel says. Grounded in Jesus, our lives will be a loving response to the Father, as was the whole life of Jesus.
