“DO NOT FACE THOSE WHO INJURE YOU.” Mt. 5:38-42

We continue reading the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus has proclaimed who are the happy possessors of the Kingdom and has already shown us what is the radical change that being under the Kingdom of God implies. It is a “being born again” as He says to Nicodemus. Walking with Jesus is another way of being in the world. He asks us to give responses of love in all situations; He has already set the example for us. Contemplating Jesus on the cross, asking forgiveness for his executioners, is a lesson that leaves us speechless…

This Jesus, radical in his life and in his proposal, is the one who has called us to follow him, and to identify ourselves with him. Impossible? “His Grace is enough for us.”
