“All those who are apparently hidden or ‘second in line’ have an unparalleled role in the history of salvation…”
“Faith does not distance us from the world, but inserts us more deeply into it,” says Pope Francis speaking of Saint Joseph. “We must go deep into the world, but with the power of prayer. Each of us has a special role to play in preparing for the coming of God’s kingdom in the world.” Just as the gift of the Holy Family was entrusted to Saint Joseph, the gift of the family and its place in God’s plan is entrusted to us. As families we must be very, very wise, very skilled, very strong, to say ‘no’ to any attempt at ideological reorganization of the family. We have to ask Saint Joseph, who is a friend of the Angel, to send us the inspiration to know when we can say ‘yes’ and when we should say ‘no.'”
