“They were all amazed.” Mk. 5:1-20

Mark makes us understand through the story of the deliverance of a man who was possessed by a legion of demons, everything that the force of evil can do, the consequences of oppression, social injustice, the mistreatment of women, children, human trafficking, drug addiction, how we can get used to all these situations without being affected by the pain of those who endure so much suffering. But it also shows us that Jesus has the power to restore human dignity, freeing us from every situation of slavery and oppression. Jesus asks us to bear witness to his love and mercy, starting with our own home, with our loved ones, for which the Lord will give us the grace to do so until everyone is amazed at his greatness.
