You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised

Followers of Christ: no wimps need apply!

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews is writing to a community that has suffered due to being a follower of Christ. They suffered abuse and affliction and even looked for such treatment because they chose to stand next to those who suffered.  They had done it joyfully, trusting in “a better and lasting possession.” Still, the author of the letter seeks to shore up their confidence by reminding them that their present suffering shall pass.  Where does your faith and confidence need to be strengthened?
