“They immediately left their nets and followed him.” Mt. 4:18-22
Vocation is a call of God’s grace, it is a gift of gratuitousness in freedom, where God takes the initiative, and the response corresponds to the person. “Jesus saw Simon Peter and his brother, Andrew, casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. He tells them ‘come with me and I will make you fishers of men.’ They immediately followed.” Following the Lord implies leaving everything and going forth with the desire to build the kingdom, there in the peripheries, where the cries of the poor are heard, asking for compassionate mercy, where life will be uplifted and be dignified.
Do I feel called to the point of surrendering my life without reservation?
