“The children of this world are more cunning than the children of light.” Lk. 16:1-8.
The parable of the unjust administrator may sound strange to us, and we could say that Jesus exalts corruption. Jesus does not praise the unfaithfulness of the unjust employee; on the contrary, the employee is fired. Jesus highlights the intelligence of this man, since he seeks to win over friends, so that they can help him later. The call that Jesus makes to us is to be creative, bold and innovative in evangelization and to respond to the realities of the times with boldness, where the Spirit of God propitiates new paths of renewal; thus, we will not cling on to that phrase: “It has always been done this way”.
Can we make more effort in the innovation and creativity of pastoral methods?
