“Blessed are you among women.” (Luke 1:39-57)

May this great day in which, as a Church, we highlight the Holy Name of Mary, be an occasion to thank God the Father first, because He chose Mary, a simple and humble woman, blessed among all women, full of light and tenderness, to be the Mother of the Redeemer… Let us give thanks to his Son Jesus, because He also made her our mother and mother of the Church. Thank the Spirit who overshadowed her. And we cannot fail to thank Mary, because first of all, she opened herself to listening to the announcement of God’s messenger, because without caring about the sufferings that this would mean for her, she gave her Yes and made our salvation possible. Let us pronounce the sweet name of Mary with fervor, asking her never to depart her immaculate and merciful heart from fallen humanity in need of salvation.
