“The Spirit of the Father will speak for you.” Mt. 10:16-23
Jesus knew well that the main enemies of the Kingdom were the political and religious authorities of his time.
Today’s text is a good navigation chart, with a series of recommendations that include the violence with which the disciples can be treated if they bear witness to Jesus.
Among these suggestions, He asks at that time and today, that we abandon ourselves into the hands of the Father and trust that the Holy Spirit will speak for us. We will not need arguments, or laws, or constitutions, because it will be the Spirit dwelling within us who will speak for us.
Let’s not worry about what we’re going to say. Truth appears when we do not seek ourselves or want to defend our ego.
