“… Praying with faith.” Saint Jude 17:20b-25

We are starting a new month, an opportunity to continue nourishing our faith from the Word. Word that is Life!

Both the first reading and the Gospel urge us to strengthen our faith and our prayer…keeping in mind that our only path is to God, standing firm in His Love. This is what we are advised in verse 20: “Build your lives on the most holy faith, praying with the Spirit.” We have to have a very strong faith today in the face of so many false teachers who do not come with truth from the Spirit, but who want to deceive, to destroy. However, our Faith guides us, enlightens us, and gives us strength.

How much time do I spend in prayer? And as for the Spirit, do we keep him in mind, do we call on him, without hesitation, to enlighten us, to give us strength so that we can take the Light of God to others?

Let us ask the Holy Spirit for his light so that we can discern God’s will in our daily lives.
