JOHN 8:51-59

“HE WHO IS FAITHFUL TO MY WORD WILL NOT DIE FOREVER.”

What does it mean to be faithful to the Word of the Lord? Is it enough just to believe? Faithfulness to the Word means living what we believe. Let us confront our lives in the light of the Word of the Lord. Do we remember that our salvation will depend on our faithfulness to the Lord?

 Are we like Abraham, who rejoices that he has come to know the Lord? How does this joy manifest itself in our lives?

Jesus invites us in this Gospel to proclaim the merciful love of the Father by our lives and actions. Only love for God will give life and meaning to the world. Our mission is to transmit God’s love and mercy. Let us make our lives an authentic vocation to love, living to serve God and others.
