FRIDAY 15

FRIDAY 15

JOHN 7:1-2. 10. 25-30

“I HAVE NOT COME ON MY OWN; THE FATHER SENT ME.”

We are immersed in Lent, and it is also a time to ask ourselves if we are capable of recognizing the Son of God in our brothers and sisters, if we see in others, in their way of life, the presence of God.

Many times, our selfishness and envy prevent us from identifying God’s work in humanity. We see attitudes in others that are easier for us to criticize than to see as positive, to see what the Lord has done in them. How many brothers and sisters give their lives for others, and yet we are not able to recognize it!

In these days leading up to the celebration of Easter, may we be able to “look” with new and clean eyes, with the eyes of the heart, and try to discover the Master in the faces and actions of the people around us.
