LUKE 11:14-23
“HE WHO IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME.”
Faced with the evil we see around us, we are presented with a temptation: that supposedly evil is strong and can overcome God, but it is not. In today’s Gospel, Jesus shows us that He has overcome evil. Jesus wants to be our peace and our hope. He asks only one thing of us: that we give ourselves totally to Him, that we consciously strive to be good people, living with integrity, which is why He says: “He who is not with me is against me.”
Today is a day to review if there is anything in us that does not harmonize with our following of Jesus. God wants a strong, consolidated kingdom. He wants us to be very close to Him. “It has never been said of a man who gave himself entirely to God that he was not fully happy.”
