“They have eyes and do not see, ears and do not hear.” (Mk..8,14,21)
This is about a warning against the attitude of the Pharisees and Herod who, although there were signs, did not understand, did not want to understand, had their hearts set elsewhere.
How many times do we look with a gaze that is too low, too much our own, and then we overlook the signs, the gestures that God is making in our lives
We have to see reality with God’s eyes, we have to know how to look at what happens to us on a personal level, as a Church, from the Lord’s point of view. Everything that happens to us, even if it is often negative – in our view – will be an opportunity for us to discern, to seek together and, in these situations that we do not understand, that we do not know which way to go, which path to take, to ask ourselves: What would the Lord do in our place? And to listen to what He says to us in prayer, through his Word and the word of others…
