“The sower went out to sow” Mk. 4:1-20
The seed that Jesus wants to sow in each one of us is love, because this is the only one that can transform the earth. Love is what makes the seed germinate, grow and bear fruit. It is what is characteristic of the Kingdom of God that Jesus proclaims. It is what our being, our family, our society needs, so that we can live in a country and in a world without borders, where peace and justice reign. By accepting and experiencing God’s love, which Jesus reveals to us, we become sowers. Our mission is to share and deliver this love to the people whom we encounter, in total gratuitousness, without any desire for any reward. Thus, as the parable of the sower expresses, the harvest will not depend on us. This is a free choice for every human being and on it will depend on how their land is made fertile.
