JESUS CHRIST, KING OF THE UNIVERSE
Today in the Church we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe…a feast that closes the liturgical year, in which we have contemplated he life of Jesus and through it, we have reviewed our lives. Jesus explains the Kingdom of God through comparisons taken from nature, with simple and small gestures that are part of our daily lives. From there we value the person for who they are, we recognize the pain of the other and we extend a hand. So, what does it mean to recognize Jesus as King of the Universe? When Jesus reigns in our hearts, it means that his life resides in our existence, because we seek that his Spirit may not be extinguished…that he will, with our lives, extend his teachings and his actions. Let us set aside a time each day to approach the Gospel, to pray and to know Jesus internally in order to practice his way of proceeding. In this way, we will be contributing to the building of the Kingdom of God every day.
