“Who can be saved?” Matthew 19:23-30

“It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven” (Mt 19:23). It is very human to measure life by the result of our efforts, by the success that the everyday world imposes on us; that is why the Lord invites us to have the time and space to question and discern. Let us pray this phrase: “Hope is not the same as optimism. It is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out.” May this stop on the road help us to renew our following from the wisdom of hope.
