“I am meek and humble of heart” Matthew 11:25-30.

This Sunday’s Gospel invites us to accept the Lord’s desire, that our essential characteristic that identifies us as followers of Jesus will be to live in simplicity. The simple heart tanduktoto is configured in him, to face the great temptations of today: the desire for power, pleasure and having…to confront the society with exaggerated attraction to production and results of its projects; where the person is seeks to be seen sukitoto and acknowledged, to be visible rather than available, with the capacity for wisdom and understanding.  and appearing and not by to be present with the gift of wisdom and understanding. Only simplicity allows us to see in depth the Lord’s message and to live it in coherence: “Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart”. It is the call to fulfill the law and live religion in its spirit. Jesus does not “complicate” life; He makes it more simple and more humble. It does not oppress but helps to live in a more dignified and humane way. It is the “rest the He promises to those who come to Him” (Pagola).
