“By what authority do you do this?” Mk 11:27-33 Jesus has cleansed the Temple of sellers and buyers, causing discomfort in the religious authorities who, seeing him, come to claim him and to ask him to account for the authority He has to do what He has done. And as always, they remain silent before the words of Jesus. They don’t know who Jesus is, they just feel that it makes them uncomfortable. Psalm 62 expresses the Lord’s sentiments very well: “How long will they attack me…? They only think of overthrowing me…, they take pleasure in lies.” “Only in God do I find rest, from him comes my salvation.” May the Lord make our faith grow, so that we may recognize him in all situations, and may He be the solid Rock, on which we always lean.
